Story of my life – Day 1

Day 1, Wednesday: The story of your life in 250 words or less (or one paragraph… no one will be counting your words… probably)

I decided to link up with Jenni at Story of My Life for the Blog Every Day in May challenge, to get my blogging pace up to speed. As the name implies, there will be a daily topic throughout the whole month of May – meaning 31 full days with one post per day following the below topics. Yay! Bring the challenge on….

Me and my famously brushed hair + my cute baby sister

Born on 8th of December 1983, in Gothenburg, Sweden, I was always the smallest kid in my class, not particularly interested in academics and a hopeless daydreamer who seamlessly melted in. Dad worked in a lot of strange countries like Iran and Turkey and Mom ran a boutique with-a-lot-of-beautiful-clothes. I did not react to teenage hormones very well and embarked on journey of revolt. Stole alcohol from Dad, smoked and was generally very annoying. Luckily, the exotic placements of my dad’s job, took us far and away and I loved everything about traveling, exploring, seeing and tasting new things in life. Dad got a new job in Seoul, Korea and the family packed down the home and moved across the globe. There was only a slight petite breakdown when I realised that 1. my school was Women’s ONLY meaning NO.GUYS.AT.ALL (very important criteria for a 18-year old) 2. Food was on the whole very strange 3. No one spoke English. … did not see that one coming! Several culture shocks later (11 years to be precise), I have studied, worked and lived in Australia, Beijing and now settled down in Hong Kong. After graduating from Business School, I decided to get into the Fashion industry as that’s my true passion. Cliche, I know – Who doesn’t want to work in Fashion? I’m turning 30-this year and I’m quite excited. Apparently, I look the same as I did ten years ago (not my own words) but I do feel a sense of relaxation – ticking the box for some of the goals I had and glancing ahead for the next chapter in my life. To-Be-Contiunued

      Hi Erika!
Glad that you found me – we nomads should stick together =).I’m super curious to see your coming post about Norway – you probably experienced more Scandinavia than I have! Time to start composing the writing challenge for Day 2. This is indeed going to be a VERY long month =)
