My favourite quote – Day 4

May200x200_zpsf8349f10

Day 4, Saturday: Favorite quote (from a person, from a book, etc) and why you love it

This quote by Oscar Wilde is one of my all-time-favourites as I think most of us, at some point or another, struggle with finding our own way. Not to be confused by what our parents, society, partners, friends, Opera Winfrey, you name it …. expects from us – but simply what our inner core silently whispers is the right deal for us! If there is one advice to remember along the way, the words of Oscar Wilde may be one of the most brilliant testaments of what describes life itself – that we all unique and A.OK, just the way we are.

A couple of other top-favoruite quotes:

“If you can dream it. You can do it. Always remember that this whole thing started with a dream and a mouse.”
-Walt Disney

Not all those who wander are lost.”
J. R. R. Tolkien

“Fashion fades only style remains the same”
Coco Chanel

“Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.”
-Albert Einstein

“Whether you think that you can, or that you can’t, you are usually right.”
Henry Ford

“Comparison is the thief of joy.”
Teddy Roosevelt

“Just-Do-It.”
Nike

“The way to get started is to quit talking and start doing.”
-Walt Disney

“To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.”
– Oscar Wilde

I just found your blog through the Blog Every Day in May Challenge! 🙂

I love all of the quotes you selected! (I see Disney in there a few times, too… looooove Walt!) But your main quote is so true… we spend so much of our lives trying to be everyone else when really, we’re best being ourselves and that’s what the world needs — it’s what WE need! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! I love love love Disney – his quotes are simply amazing. Love the one where he says “remember it started with a dream and a mouse”. Easy to forget that it doesn’t have to be more complicated than that.

Thanks for stopping by. I’m going to have a look at your blog now.
I’m turning out to really like this Blog Every Day in May challenge =)

Hi Isabel! I really like your blog specially when you write something more technical about design, fabrics, patterns because the article becomes very interesting for someone that have no knowledge and would like to understand more about the fashion industry, or even for people that are studying fashion design or would like to work for a clothing company or fashion magazine they can also follow your blog and learn from you. Good job!! and Good luck!!
