I kissed a girl – Day 10

Day 10, Friday: Most embarrassing moment (s). Spill.

Easy. What first comes to mind happened quite recently. I was still with my previous company, and we were having a farewell party for the manager (female) that in fact hired me. It was a great evening – a warm summer day, organic food and laughter with good friends. Before proceeding, I should probably mention that I have a lot of hair. Wait a moment, that sounded strange. What I mean is that I have long thick hair, with typical Scandinavian quality of fine strands. This just to tell you that this type of hair is great if you live in Europe – but in Hong Kong with the high levels of humidity – my hair has a life of it’s own frizzing up and flying around. Back to the story, food and drinks were finish up and the group decided to proceed to another place. I had a couple of things to do at home so started the round-tour hugging everyone goodbye. Saving the last farewell for my manager, I leaned forward to embrace my arms around her in a hug – THEN out of nowhere  – all my hair fell in front of my face. With my hair completely blocking the view – our heads came right against each other instead of the planned side-to-side hug – resulting in a kiss-right-on-the-mouth. And let me tell you – it was not a cheeky kind of kiss – this was on the lips-tongue-included. In shock, not knowing what to do (remember, this was my manager), a couple of paralysed seconds passed. TOTAL DENIAL first came to mind, and I continued chatting like nothing happened and made a quick escape. Walking back to my house, the bare thought of what happened, made me throw-up my hands in embarrassed movements and facial expressions (below picture is pretty close to what I looked like). My boyfriend who found the whole situation extremely entertaining – for weeks did his best to remind me what happened  – repeatedly singing the song  “I kissed a girl” by Katie Perry.

  1. hahaha, i know the feeling… remember when we talked about sitting on public transport and an embarrassing moment pops up in my head and we instantly go in to the position of shame like the lil bear above. Hahaha Renato’ singing, does he still bring out his little keyboard and perform under the street lights? Sooo funny. MAESTRO!
