My favourite blogs – Day 19

Day 19, Sunday: Five of your favorite blogs and what you love about them

For the first time since I started the blog-every-day-in-may-challenge, I’m behind the daily blog schedule and will blame it all on my boyfriend. Well, it’s not exactly his fault but a consequence as I have been up-to-my ears planning his surprise birthday party (taking much more time than expected). Let me tell you, finding perfectly normal mono-colour balloons – without hearts, hallo kitty or wordings  – is a very difficult task in Hong Kong. With this said, I need to write two posts today so will limit this one to three of my favourite blogs instead of five. My blog readings cover a quite wide spectrum of interests including travel, outfits, fashion, DIY and culture. Some of the blogs are for beautiful pictures and inspirations only whereas others are some I actually spend a quite bit of time reading.

1. Tuula Vintage

IMG_5461I started to follow Jessica Stein’s blog about two years ago when I came across a feature of her on WhoWhatWear. A first glance, this is a gorgeous-model-looking gal with legs to kills for. However, her blog is more than that; Jessica travels the world, and shares her experiences in beautiful photography paired with great-looking style coverage. This blog speaks to me as I share the same wanderlust but also because there is a sweet balance of the content – it’s neither a pure travel or outfit blog. Tuula Vintage is one of these places that is nice visiting during dull and grey days in order to dream yourself away to faraway places.

2. Atlantic Pacific aPeplum peat 190I love this girl as she always brings colours, patterns and trendy items together in a new and interesting way. It’s not your-ordinary Zara/ H&M outfit posts, rather Blair Eadie has a particular style that could be described as an eclectic mix of  60’s vintage x sleek contemporary – something that is right down my alley. I’m a huge fan of colour myself so would say that among all the outfit bloggers, this is what I identify being closest to my own personal style.

3. Style by Kling

Style by Kling is the first blog I ever started to follow. The reason is quite obvious; Elin Kling is Sweden’s most famous blogger and as a Swede, I was amazed about the energy and determination that this girl possess. While my own personal style is closer to Blair’s at Atlantic Pacific, I very much admire Elin because of her hard work – anything this girl touches turns to gold and it’s been exciting following her career progress from starting with outfit shoots to today running her own fashion magazine, her own fashion collection, collaborations with brands such as H&M, Guess and Louis Vuitton.
