Dear … – Day 27
Day 27, Monday: A letter to your readers
Yesterday’s post in the blog every day in May challenge, comes one day late as I have been crippled with food poisoning – spending the day between the bed and the bathroom. I should also mention that all this happened while in Rome, visiting my boyfriends family and newborn niece and nephew. In other words, the timing could not have been any worse. Luckily, I’m up on my feet today – ready to face the world. Today’s topic, a letter to you my readers, is hard to pin down as this whole blogging thing still is new to me. And I feel like I’m just learning the game of it. If you know what I mean.
Saying that, I would like to mention how much I’ve come to value my daily blogging time. Sometimes with slight agony (as for this one) – trying to find the time or with a blank mind – other times with a crystal-clear sentence structure. Interestingly, what I sometimes think is a rather blend post, have at times given the most lovely and meaningful comments. Throughout this writing challenge, I’ve learned a great deal about the different lives of bloggers all across the world, and what struck me is how universal experiences, feelings and thoughts are after all. The context may be completely different but the content is the same.
Going back three months in time, I started this blog because I wanted to communicate my passions and experiences with likeminded, family and friends. Since then, the scope has grown to so much more. It has opened doors to new ideas, friendships and communities, and I’m so very grateful for that journey. Whether you are just stopping by or being a regular reader – I appreciate all of you – nothing is as rewarding as communicating with readers and other fellow bloggers. It simply makes the journey.
